I have worked in the world of nursing for over 25 years of which I have loved every minute. But now I find myself in a new chapter of life with kids off to college and a new marriage that has allowed me the freedom to follow my other passion which is to become a writer.
Michelle Obama expressed this well when she said, "For me, becoming isn't about arriving somewhere or achieving a certain aim. I see it instead as forward motion, a means of evolving, a way to reach continuously toward a better self. The journey of becoming doesn't end."
Writing is something I have been doing since I was a little girl; writing stories for my kids and family. Life, kids, jobs, etc have always been an excuse to wait but now I find that I can no longer wait. It is time to follow my passion and write the stories I've been yearning to tell. My narrative, your tale, we all have a history and I want to give the world the gift of that story. No one is born a writer, they become one.
